I am so excited!!! The local winery in Kalamazoo, Vintner’s Cellar Winery, commissioned me to do a painting for a batch of Pinot Noir titled “Twilight Time” that they just created. They are throwing a special Pinot party where the wine will be released on Friday, October 26th from 11am to 8pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5-8pm and I will be attending the reception. Three Days ’til Showtime!

Ok, yesterday was kinda a hectic day for me because it was the day to hang the big show.  Big show?  Yes, this is the biggest (largest quantity of paintings) show I’ve had yet- 18 paintings total ranging from 3′ x 4′ to 18″ x 18″.  I thought I could safely load all of them in my jeep in one trip, but I found out I was wrong at about 9:00- one hour before I had to meet the curator for hanging.  Thankfully, I was able to go to the gallery early, drop off the pieces and quickly come back to my studio and load up the rest of the show before she arrived.  It only took two and a half hours to hang the show and it looks beautiful!  I’m very excited about the opening on Friday- hopefully it will be a success!  Stay tuned and if you want more information about the show, visit my website: www.sarastrong.com and check out the ‘calendar’ page.

I really need a buddy that will take decent pictures of me in my studio. Please note my ‘glowing’ complection- I’m on the fourth floor, with no air and it was a very hot day. Girls don’t sweat by the way, they “glow”.
